and recognition
Interview
Dr. Edison Moraes Rodrigues Filho
President of the Intensive Care Society of Rio
Grande do Sul (SOTIRGS)
Winfocus: How will this partnership
work?
Moraes: Some of the SOTIRGS members will deliver
lectures, and all our associates will get special discount registrations.
Winfocus: Why did your organization
seek this partnership?
Moraes: In my view, this is a new area for doctors,
one in which we should be investing and learning. It is also a
new segment in which to carry out research.
Winfocus: What do you expect
from this partnership?
Moraes: This will be a great opportunity to broaden
medical training programs in critical care ultrasound. By exchanging
experiences, we will certainly improve our medical practice.
Winfocus: How will the event impact the city?
Moraes: By hosting this event, Porto Alegre will
receive wide recognition, especially because we have excellent
intensive care medicine experts, not to mention several noteworthy
initiatives in this area. Therefore, I think the capital city
of the state of Rio Grande do Sul will be remembered in many parts
of the world, as will the professionals who practice medicine
here.
