at the 4th World Congress on Ultrasound in Emergency and Critical
Care Medicine.

1. DEADLINE: REGISTRATION

2. ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM FOR AN ABSTRACT
2.1. Make sure you complete
all the fields in the form accurately. This information will
appear on your certificate, conference proceedings (provided
your work is accepted), and mail to be sent by the Organizers.
2.2. When you complete the form, you will be
able to indicate whether you prefer an oral presentation or
a poster. However, the final decision shall be taken by the
Evaluating Committee shall be final and based on both your preference
and the quality of the abstract.
3. ABSTRACT
3.1. The abstract should be
pasted or directly typed into the appropriate spaces provided
in the online registration form, and should not exceed the size
of an A4 sheet of paper.
3.2. The abstract should comprise:
a) an Introduction (topic presentation and literature review);
b) Objectives;
c) Materials and Methods;
d) Results and Conclusions.
NOTE: DO NOT INCLUDE THE TITLE, AUTHOR NAMES
AND INSTITUTIONS IN THE BODY OF THE ABSTRACT.
3.3. The text should be carefully spell-checked.
Use appropriate technical language.
4. SENDING THE FORM
4.1. After completing the form,
click on SEND.
4.2. Abstracts that are sent by fax, post or
e-mail will not be accepted.
5. APPROVAL CRITERIA
5.1. Appropriateness of the
title for the topic;
5.2. Relevance of the topic
to the profession;
5.3. Quality and technical content. We are particularly
interested in topics that are useful in practice, including primary
health care, emergency and critical care medicine, or adverse
environments.
5.4. New and/or unpublished posters and presentations
(except for theses);
5.5. Compliance with ethical and legal criteria
in all professions concerned;
5.6. The author/ presenter must be registered
in this Congress.
6. EVALUATION COMMITTEE’S DECISION
6.1. A list containing accepted
abstracts that were accepted, as well as their author’s
choice of presentation, will be available on the website of
the event as of February 15th, 2008.
6.2. AB Eventos, the organizer, will also send
the official open topic acceptance letter to the e-mail provided
in your registration form. Please ensure the e-mail is correct
to receive the letter.
7. TECHNICAL INFORMATION
7.1. Posters should not exceed
90 cm in width X 120 cm in height. The author shall be responsible
for hanging the poster. The author must appear before the Scientific
Committee on a date and time to be arranged.
7.2. The day, place and timing pertaining to
accepted oral presentations, as well as the audiovisual resources
available, shall be informed in the acceptance letter.
7.3. A certificate with the names of all the
authors shall be provided for each accepted poster or presentation.
